Social Programme
We’re planning an exciting programme of social events to enhance your participation in the conference.
These include:
Private View at Dundee Contemporary Arts – Monday 1 August
Dundee Contemporary Arts is a world-class centre for the development and exhibition of contemporary art and culture. It promotes the development and exhibition of contemporary art and culture through providing opportunities for artists to create, and for audiences to engage with an active, varied and high-quality cultural life for the people of Dundee, Scotland and beyond.
Coinciding with the DiGRA/FDG conference in early August, is a wonderful show that we’re sure you won’t want to miss. Details are hush-hush just now, but we’ve got you all a ticket for the private view. Be sure to select this at the time of registration so you don’t miss out!
“Groovement” with Richard Lemarchand – Tuesday 2 August
One of Dundee’s most historic industrial venues will be the atmospheric setting for an informal evening of drinks and dancing with the legendary Richard Lemarchand on the decks. At just £15 per ticket, this event is great value and open to all delegates. Entry will be by ticket only so be sure to choose this option when you register.
Gala Dinner – Thursday 4 August
The beautiful and historic surroundings of Guthrie Castle – which dates back to 1468 – in the glorious Angus countryside will be the setting for a gala dinner to celebrate this first joint conference of DiGRA and FDG. Gather in the castle for pre-dinner drinks before heading to the spacious pavilion for a delightful meal. Watch this space for news of exciting games activities too! The full experience is priced at just £96 per person and places are expected to fill up fast, so make sure you book as soon as registration opens!
